Our Family

We are both blessed to have been raised in close, loving families. Amy is the youngest of four, and her parents were married for more than 37 years before her dad passed away.

Jeff has a younger sister, and his parents just celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary. Our parents, siblings and seven nieces and nephews all live within 40 minutes of us which means we get together often for holidays, birthdays, graduations, or just for fun.

Last summer our community opened a new lake (reclaimed quarry) and our siblings & their kids joined us for a day of fun in the sun and water. And last year, Jeff’s parents joined us for a road trip to Disney World!

We are also blessed with really close friends that are like family to us. Every year a group of 9 of us travel to be together on New Year’s Eve and celebrate into the wee hours playing games, and then crash for a sleepover. Our family has become our friends, and our friends have become our family. Everyone is very excited about our adoption journey, and ready to welcome a new baby into the family.
